1) Who we are & scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Back Pocket Yoga d/b/a Beyond Breath (“Beyond Breath,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit our websites, enroll in Beyond Breath, join our community or coaching calls, download materials, or interact with us (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Use.

2) The data we collect

A) Information you provide directly

  • Account & contact: name, email, phone, billing address, time zone, login credentials.

  • Purchase & support: order details, payment status (our payment processor handles card numbers), messages, and support requests.

  • Program participation: survey responses, progress check‑ins, worksheets, community posts/comments, and submissions in forms.

  • Live sessions & community: audio/video/voice if you speak on recorded calls; chat contributions; profile details you choose to share.

B) Information we collect automatically

  • Usage & device data: IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, time on page, referring/exit pages, approximate location (city/country).

  • Cookies & similar tech: to remember preferences, enable login, understand usage, and (if enabled) measure campaigns/ads. See Section 7.

C) Information from others

  • Payment & commerce partners (e.g., payment processors, fulfillment tools) send us payment status and limited transaction metadata (not full card numbers).

  • Analytics/advertising providers may give us aggregated campaign and site performance metrics.

  • Scheduling/video/community platforms (e.g., video conference tools) provide attendance and engagement details.

D) Sensitive information you may choose to share

Our program may touch on sensitive topics (e.g., relationship history, emotional state). Only share what you’re comfortable sharing. We do not require health records, diagnoses, or protected health information; we are not a HIPAA‑covered entity.

E) Children’s data

Our Services are for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

3) How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide and improve the Services (host the course, maintain “lifetime access” to the core curriculum, operate coaching calls and community, personalize materials).

  • Communicate with you (service updates, coaching or community notices, transactional emails, and—if you opt in—educational or promotional emails).

  • Security, fraud prevention, and integrity (detect abuse, secure accounts, enforce Terms, protect member safety).

  • Analytics and performance (understand what content helps clients progress; improve site and program experience).

  • Legal/Compliance (tax, accounting, record‑keeping; respond to lawful requests).

4) Recordings & community privacy

Group coaching calls and community sessions may be recorded so members who can’t attend live can watch later and so we can improve the program. If you don’t want to appear in a recording, keep your camera off, use a display name that preserves your privacy, and avoid speaking on recorded portions.

5) When we disclose information

We share information only as needed to run the Services or when legally required:

  • Service providers/“processors” (hosting, course platform, email service, customer support, analytics, payments, scheduling, video, community).

  • Legal and safety (to comply with law, subpoenas, court orders, or to protect rights, safety, or security).

  • Business transfers (in connection with a merger, acquisition, or similar event—if that happens, we will take reasonable steps to require the recipient to honor this Policy or notify you of material changes).

We do not sell personal information for money. Some states define “sale” and “share” to include certain advertising and analytics disclosures; see Section 9 for how to opt out where those definitions apply.

6) Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes in this Policy—generally:

  • Account, purchase, and program records: for as long as you have an account and as required by tax/accounting laws (often 4–7 years), then we securely delete or anonymize.

  • Recordings and community content: for as long as they are reasonably useful to deliver the Services, or until you request removal where feasible.

  • Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe or we prune inactive contacts.

7) Cookies, analytics & ads

We use cookies and similar technologies to: keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure course engagement, and (if enabled) measure campaigns. You can:

  • Use your browser controls to block or delete cookies.

  • Use our cookie banner (where available) to manage optional cookies.

  • Enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) or similar universal opt‑out signals in supported browsers; we will honor them where required by law and in good faith where feasible.

8) Your choices

  • Email marketing: click “unsubscribe” in any marketing email or email us at info@sariahbastian.com.

  • Access/Update: email info@sariahbastian.com to request a copy, correction, or deletion of your information, subject to legal and operational limits.

  • Recordings: if you want us to remove your appearance from a recording we host, contact us; we’ll assess what’s feasible without impacting other members’ content.

  • Cookies/ads: adjust via browser settings, our cookie banner, or GPC.

9) State‑specific privacy rights (summary)

Privacy rights vary by U.S. state. Depending on where you live and whether we are subject to that law’s thresholds, you may have rights to: access, correct, delete, port (receive a copy), and opt out of (a) sale of personal information, (b) sharing for cross‑context behavioral advertising, and/or (c) certain profiling. California (CCPA as amended by CPRA), Colorado (CPA), Virginia (VCDPA), Utah (UCPA), and Texas (TDPSA) recognize some or all of these rights. We aim to respect valid requests regardless of where you live, to the extent feasible. How to exercise your rights

Email info@sariahbastian.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and tell us what you want to do (access, correction, deletion, do‑not‑sell/share, opt out of targeted ads, etc.). We may need to verify your identity (e.g., confirm access to your account email). If your state allows, you may use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof of authorization. If we deny your request and your state provides an appeal process, we will tell you how to appeal.

“Do Not Sell or Share” & targeted ads

If your state’s law treats certain analytics/advertising as “sale” or “sharing,” you can opt out by: (1) sending us a request as above, (2) using the cookie banner to disable advertising/analytics tags, and (3) turning on GPC in your browser (we honor it where required). 10) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we handle. No system is 100% secure. Please keep your login credentials confidential and contact us right away if you suspect unauthorized activity.

11) International visitors

12) Third‑party links & tools

Our Services may link to or integrate with third‑party sites and tools (e.g., video, payments, analytics). Their privacy practices are governed by their policies, not ours.

13) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the new Effective Date and, where appropriate, notify you in the Services or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the changes.
